We are building a brand new Policy & Communications Team

We are seeking to build a team that genuinely reflects the communities we serve, to ensure that all our policy and communications work understands and speaks directly to our residents and their life experiences.

This is a very exciting time in Newham – we are building a brand new Policy and Communications Team to represent and promote one of the most dynamic and diverse boroughs in England.

We are the most ethnically diverse and one of the youngest local authority boroughs in England and Wales. Hosting the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games put Newham on the global map, and we have so much more to offer as a place and through our people. Newham is open for business. We have large areas ripe for urban regeneration and the Royal Docks, London’s only Enterprise Zone, is set to become a major new district for the Capital. You will be warmly welcomed by a vibrant and thriving community where diversity is embraced with people of all ages, races and beliefs, speaking at least 100 different languages.

Our directly elected Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz celebrated her second year in office in May and she and our Chief Executive Althea Loderick are driving a bold new agenda for our residents. We are looking for talented communicators who share our commitment to putting people at the heart of everything we do. Come and help us build and champion a community that supports, helps, protects and enables all our residents and young people, to flourish.
